Hollywood runs a good operation but the call centre can be equated to government Department of Home Affairs. Because you got to wait for your phone call to be answered. On average you got to wait approximately 5 minutes before your call is answered. If they can only employ a few extra people at the call centre.

But it seems management is oblivions to this. It's seems customers need Hollywoodbets and Hollywoodbets don't need the customers. It's an indictment on how they view there customers.

IMO any other betting shop would of rectified this issue a long time ago. Hopefully, they resolve the issue soon for their own benefit.

There is no customer service. Nil lime and niks.

It is already daunting to have to call and hold and then speak to someone.

When you do get someone on the line, you just want them to comprehend the reason for your call. But alas we get this.

It has to start from the ground up. Hiring and attracting the right people.. Train them surrounding a customer centric model. (pay them accordingly as well)

You get this right regardless what business you have, it will fly.

HW is already flying but this right here will tarnish the brand 10 fold.

I would say Hollywood probably handle more calls per day than any other company in South Africa (not meaning bookies)

Not every person that answers the phone will be up to speed with roving banker digery doos at Wagga Wagga

Saying they have no Customer Service is pish poor Dean

Dial their call centre at 4 times speaking to 4 different consultants.

Once done. Tell me what's poor and what is not.

I call it as i experience it and will not put a post on ONE poor customer experience..

I also do not have time to be calling their call centre for willy and nilly queries as i certainly do not wish to blast them on here. But but but.. The truth has to be said.


Their customer service via the call centre is shockingly poor and it is more often than not.

I said.. And until it changes i will say otherwise.

Bob.. you taking the piss! When it comes to their call centre.. their custome service is poor.. piss poor. Saying they have the highest call volume doesn't justify the amount of constant criticism on this site alone.. over a sustained period. That's a fact. You.. as a self declared non gambler.. (admiration) have obviously never had to go down this route. I, like most others have.. the only satisfaction in this regard came as a result of pms through this site to dev or John or others. I've said it before.. and Dev has acknowledged it.. this aspect of their business has been piss poor for too long. Peace.

Bob there is no doubt that Hollywood do a lot right hence the growth of their business however I have experienced the same as above multiple times. The agent dealing with my account application took a year to get back to me regarding my FICA registration once I sent the documents through. Dev sorted it out but don't you find it strange that Dev is constantly sorting the same complaints out? I don't know when last I had a bet on my Hollywood account because of the service, I just don't bother complaining or betting.

Yesterday was the first time in months I stopped at their Bunny Bar for a take away as my daughter asked. Nothing has changed they have some of the best Bunny Chows in Durban but still disinterested, rude staff that couldn't give a shit. I brought this to Dev's attention long ago, the manager offered me a free meal which I declined. Just fix the service was my request however after yesterday clearly nothing has changed. The point is that shit service is shit service so I may go there once every 3 to 6 months when my daughter asks me to. There are customers that just keep quiet and don't spend their money there anymore.

Time for Holly to introduce some incentives for staff too, like how the grooms get rewarded.
Put up a giant board on the wall of each branch and award points for staff members who perform well.

An award for achiever of the month, in cash and the picture goes onto the board as Achiever of the month.
