Race 2 : Mighty Mashona looks some value , debut run to African Skyline has produced a few winners, blinkers removed this time and at 7/1 , worth an eachway

I had thought that today would've been an Anton Marcus day. But we are having gail force winds. Superman wouldn't want sand to go in his eyes.

Being an IT personal I will be having a sentimental bet on Cyber time jockey trainer combo graded to run in the money.

Double

Three Hearts
Cyber Time

HOLLYWOODBETS GREYVILLE FORM OCTOBER 10
-Andrew Harrison
1
3 INDIGO FIELDS 10 WINTER JOURNEY 2 THREE HEARTS 1 FEARLESS KITTY
Preview: INDIGO FIELDS (3) has been a beaten favourite in both starts to date. Switches to the Greyville turf and can do better around a turn. WINTER JOURNEY (10) has improved with each outing and has done well over course and distance. She has drawn wide but should still be involved. THREE HEARTS (2) was totally out-classed by Sunday’s Spring Challenge winner Big Burn in a restricted race but prior to that went down narrowly. She needs to repeat that showing. FEARLESS KITTY (1) has been coming along nicely and must be a contender. (Andrew Harrison: 3-10-2-1).
2
3 RUNNING RIFLES 11 LET’S TWIST AGAIN 5 ONE SHOT WONDER 9 BUGSY MALONE
Preview: Many first timers but RUNNING RIFLES (3) found one to good last start when making her local debut. He should come on from that and may be the one to beat although he will have some serious opposition. LET’S TWIST AGAIN (11) has been rested and changed stables. He is drawn wide but started odds-on at his last start and can do better. ONE SHOT WONDER (5) improved nicely second time out and should enjoy the extra furlong. BUGSY MALONE (9) is a very late starter but has put in two fair efforts to date and should much prefer this trip. Upset chance. (Andrew Harrison: 3-11-5-9).
3
4 CYBER TIME 1 PURPLE FLAME 11 GREY VIEW 2 EVENTIDOR
Preview: CYBER TIME (4) made a promising debut in the soft and should enjoy the extra furlong from a good draw and Marcus up. PURPLE FLAME (1) was a well-supported favourite last run after making a smart debut. He comes from a very much inform stable and from a good draw and two furlongs further he will be a contender. GREY VIEW (11) has been close-up in recent sprints and given his pedigree should appreciate the extra although he has drawn wide. EVENTIDOR (2) showed up well on debut from a wide draw and is not without a chance. (Andrew Harrison: 4-1-11-2).
4
3 MANHATTEN CAFE 8 PAPA C 6 STAFF SERGEANT 14 BOLD PREMIER
Preview: Tricky maiden. MANHATTEN CAFÉ (3) showed up well on debut over a mile and should come on from that. This field looks limited and if there is improvement to come, he could be the right one in the field. PAPA C (8 ) takes a big jump in distance but was not too far back in his sprint debut and should strip a lot fitter. STAFF SERGEANT (6) is a battler but tries blinkers for the first time and has been working well. He could be the surprise package in this company. BOLD PREMIER (14) has a tough draw but is showing signs of coming to hand for his new stable. (Andrew Harrison: 3-8-6-14).
5
1 SPACE ODDITY 12 BASETSANA 6 ISLE MORADA 2 CAPE STAR
Preview: SPACE ODDITY (1) is back on the grass but has not put a foot wrong in recent starts on the poly. From pole position with a 4kg claimer up she must be a contender. BASETSANA (12) is way overdue for her next win. The stale is in mustard form and she rates a strong chance. ISLA MORADA (6) has been consistent and was close-up in stronger company last start. She stays the trip well. CAPE STAR (2) shed her maiden at third time of asking. She has a handy weight and can go close again. (Andrew Harrison: 1-12-6-2).
6
8 FINDING FREEDOM 10 TOP ME UP HOLLY 12 TIME TO ROLL 5 FIRE FAERIE
Preview: Seriously difficult handicap. FINDING FREEDOM (8 ) has done well to stronger but has paid the price as far as the handicap goes. She meets a competitive field here but at best does look capable. TOP ME UP HOLLY (10) has been consistent since winning back to back out of the maidens. She has a 4kg claimer up who could negate the further two-point raise in the handicap. TIME TO ROLL (12) does not have the best of draws but has improved with a compression mask. FIRE FAERIE (5) is in form for a much in form stable. She gets 4kg relief from the saddle and must have a strong chance. BOLD DECISION (6) was a recent Highveld maiden winner but has improved with each outing. (Andrew Harrison: 8-10-12-5-6).
7
11 PEARL OF ASIA 1 TEMPTING FATE 8 CHANTYMAN 2 BWANA
Preview: PEARL OF ASIA (11) was the surprise winner of the Gr1 Mercury Sprint (WFA) over course and distance. But he got a 14-point shunt up the handicap for that effort and does not have the best of draws here. However, if the handicap holds true he rates the horse to beat in this set weights event. TEMPTING FATE (1) is a Gr1 winner and was back to his best after a successful wind operation. He is talented and must have a strong chance on a repeat showing. CHANTYMAN (8) ran below expectations in the Mercury Sprint but goes very well this course and distance and must have a strong chance on his best form. BWANA (2) has been in good for over shorter but looks to have it all to do at the weights. (Andrew Harrison: 11-1-8-2).
8
6 GIACOMO PUCCINI 3 QUASIFORSURE 11 CABINET SHUFFLE 13 SEA MASTER
Preview: GIACOMO PUCCINI (6) was a beaten odds-on chance last start but lacked extra late. That was his third local run and he should come out fitter here. QUASIFORSURE (3) won well on debut from a wide draw and appears to be more than useful. He will be tested in this field. CABINET SHUFFLE (11) came from off the pace to win a sprint first up for his new stable. He has a wide draw here bit a repeat will make him competitive. SEA MASTER (13) has improved in blinkers and although also drawn wide he has a strong winning chance. (Andrew Harrison: 6-3-11-13).

Anton Marcus has 6 rides today, and the bookies have made him favourite on 4 and 2nd fav on the other 2.
The interesting question is which of those are priced correctly?
Race 1 Three Hearts did not succeed when making the trip to Jhb, but her previous start in KZN is the best form in the race- imo the correct favourite here. She comes back in trip to 1200m from 1400m, but the same applies to the main danger, Indigo Fields, and Marcus has ridden that one in both her starts so he knows what he's up against. Noble Storm and Love is Blind have wider draws but both could be improvers. I will obviously be shouting for Indigo Fields. From what I could see, she needed her first outing when quite green. She improved her 2nd start, and after a protracted battle with a more experienced runner, had nothing left when the impressive first timer, Grue of Ice swept past late. At this stage of her career, I would think that the 1200m won't be a problem, although I would think that she will be best when she is ready to go a mile or perhaps even further.
Race 2 This looks quite open, with all of Running Rifles, One Shot Wonder, Bugsy Malone and Let's Twist Again having shown enough to win.
Race 3 Cyber Time has been priced favourite after a good debut. Running Rifles comes from the same formline, so if that runs well then Cyber Time could be the right one. However, I would have thought that Purple Flame would be favourite, as he showed good form over 1000m, and must surely be looking for this trip. The older Grey View has fair form but a wide draw. I was impressed with Eventidor's debut effort from a poor draw, and there is no reason why he should have any problem with the turf- I make him a lively threat.
Race 4 Manhattan Cafe decent debut on poly, and should be a runner here. One More Trick good debut effort and looks better on turf, but a wide draw to overcome. Galabier likewise. Willy the Wizard ran a cracker the only other time he got a draw, and should be respected.
Race 5 Marcus again favourite in an open race. His mount has done best at Scottsville, and a wide draw to overcome, so not a compelling case to be first choice.
Race 6 Another open race, and again Marcus priced up favourite from a bad draw. Time to Roll has come down a lot in the ratings, and is well in on best form, but this is a very open race . I quite like the chances of Finding Freedom. Ran well in very strong company first two starts, and duly won her maiden. Last time was way under sufferance under the conditions, and I think a lot of improvement to come. Top me Up Holly gets the 4kg claim and is very consistent despite the wide draw. Laurel Lane has been off form, but is down in the ratings and gets a plum draw.
Race 7 Marcus on Pearl of Asia which ran way above his previous form when beating the best last time. Would win if repeating that, and has been made 2nd favourite. Chantyman no match last time, but on previous form has always looked the better horse. Tempting Fate won well last time and gets the draw, but has been in and out. Bwana is getting long in the tooth, but is capable of a surprise.
Race 8 Marcus' mount scratched- All eyes will be on good debut winner Quasiforsure to see whether he can follow up. Quasillo has just a handful of runners due to fertility issues, , but so far looks a potentially smart sire.
He will be tested by Irontail and Siya Vuma, and quite a few others with chances.
