The one thing with 21 days off horse racing and Iām sure they will extend the 21 days, this could be enough time for me to try and stop when things are back to normal.Lately with results like they are and unpoliced,I have been trying to slow down.
Does anyone know of any online poker site that they recommend.
Batman, Esports available on Hollywood is nice to bet on and watch!

i would like to have seen the broadband/Cellular companies make free data available to all clients.
lots of people from informal settlements dont have uncapped contracts. they use wifi hotspots etc when they are out and about.
this would allow people to study at home etc
would reduce people walking about as well , sure other social benefits as well.

.....lets see if Vodacom stands by their announcement of a 30% drop in data costs from next month....this was announced before the Corona virus issues became more prevalent locally and now the subsequent lock down....also they were giving away free data almost daily through their current "shake and win" promotion and I have not seen a data freebie for nearly a month now and I have several Vodacom devices....currently my home fibre is spluttering, splurging and cutting out and this is during working hours....how will we cope when a majority are at home from Friday....

I'm normally a very positive person and will embrace the current lock-down in a true positive spirit and encourage all fellow South Africans to do the same in this difficult time, however as I alluded to in a previous post,I think we have to brace ourselves for worse to come,I don't envisage this pandemic being resolved in 21 days.I shudder to think what happens after 16 April,I sincerely hope I'm wrong and all returns to normal come 17 April.
Bob ,Dave perhaps we can start a topic re the lock-down and the Clan can post their own experiences on a day to day basis.

I sure as hell could not make wine in that time...?

I just missed the second world war but had an indication what people went through via mum and dad.
In these days it was Churchill doing the talking and tonight we had Ramaphosa.
I felt he came over well and was clear and distinctive and well focused on what we have to do .
We all have massive decisions and disciplines to follow to ensure his call is met.
I certainly had a few JWBs to brace myself for his address to the Nation.
As you may be aware I came to KZN to visit my grandkids and watch noble diana (have her last race).
We now find ourselves at my daughter's home in Kloof with the grandkids and must say no complaints about being in lockdown mode here.
It will be a challenge for the next few weeks but our place in Pretoria is in good hands.
I have always been hyperactive and not being able to go out and socialise is difficult, it has always been a big part of our life, especially during our last few years of retirement.
I am at the stage that i don't fear death but rather life.
In the words of the WHO ( not the World Health Organization) but the band, Daltrey, Moon and Townsend.
From the track My Generation "hope I die before I get old".
Based on you don't want to be a bumbling idiot or burden on family.
My point is ......what are we going to do to keep busy during the 21 days?
From my side, keep the kids busy, some handy work, try some daily exercise, keep mind active, watch tv, have a few dops, maybe a few braais, few quiz/card game, listen to my fav band's.
Not to sound morbid but my daughter helped me make up my play list for the funeral.
No official date set as worried about crowd restrictions, but have enough good songs to cover a few days.
Some really good numbers.
This thread is obviously a bit tongue in the cheek but felt it might keep us sharing some of our thoughts and concerns going forward.
Keep safe and in doors š·šš¹
Please post the alleged playlist... we shall rate you...

I will try in the morning but became rather extensive but mostly old numbers and nothing in the last 20 years but did touch on the following bands
Fleetwood mac, led zep, CSN, james taylor, carol king, style council, marvyn gaye, four tops, who, Beatles,
Etc
Many classics
Hope u approve
I also remember asking my daughter to add a Joe Jackson number for mrs S as we were leaving the church/party
"Is she really going out with him"
Mrs S said she will give it a couple of weeks in respect to scotia (nice touch )

We were told today that we are exempt.... so work as usual for me with extra precautionary measures in place But my fear is that we are in unknown territory and despite all measures in place this virus can get through........
Faith in my God is my greatest strength and I am just going to take it one day at a time......... May our God's be with us in these troubled times.....
